The Martha’s Vineyard Family Center is here for Island families.
The Family Center connects families with resources within our community and provides education and support to parents/caregivers of children ages 0-8, including the prenatal and pre-adoptive period. The Center is an Island hub where parents can get support in navigating the joys and challenges of parenthood. The MV Family Center is welcoming, accessible and respectful of all families who come through their doors.
Services include:
Parent and Child Activities
From exploring local trails to virtual story time – each month brings new adventures.
Community and Family Events
The Family Center collaborates with community partners to host fun interactive events throughout the month.
Education and Support
Navigating parenthood can be a challenge. The Family Center is here to support you.
The center offers monthly parent education opportunities as well as individual and family support services.
Concrete Supports and Services
Individualized supports include opportunities to meet with staff about developmental questions and/or concerns. Staff can also provide referrals to community based programs and services that can help support you and your family.
Visit the on-site Swap Shop for gently used children’s items including gear, clothes, toys and books. Also, the Family Center has a Food Pantry within the center for all families.

All activities are free of charge thanks to grants from the Massachusetts Children’s Trust Fund, Department of Early Education and Care, and Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Grant (CFCE).
Childcare or childcare reimbursement and transportation are provided for all activities upon request.
