All of our services are free and confidential.
The Child Witness to Violence Program works through an empowerment model and is child-focused in the services we provide. Our goal is to provide a safe place for a child to process traumatic events or relationships and begin to heal. Part of the process is removing barriers and meeting survivors where they are on their healing journey.
Who We Serve
Our program provides services to children aged 17 and under who have witnessed violence in their homes and family dynamics. We also provide services to the child’s safe caregivers. We adapt our counseling services to the developmental level and needs of each child. This is why we value a collaboration between the family and us.
Ongoing Services or Referrals
A goal of our services is to have ongoing age-appropriate collaboration with caregivers throughout the process. Counselors will work with the child in a variety of ways that include play, psychoeducation, and a focus on establishing safety. All counseling modalities are trauma-informed and focus around body autonomy, safety, and healthy boundaries.
