Each Vineyard-Opoloy purchased includes a donation to MV Community Services from The Lazy Frog.

OAK BLUFFS, MA (January 11, 2023) – Martha’s Vineyard Community Services (MVCS) is pleased to share an update on their continued partnership with The Lazy Frog. Vineyard-Opoly is the Martha’s Vineyard version of the classic board game Monopoly, organized by Sarah and Jake Gifford of The Lazy Frog. For each board game purchased, a donation is made to MV Community Services. Together, The Lazy Frog and MVCS are excited to share that the combined total for the last two years in partnership is $7,950, surpassing the original goal of $7,500. This year’s donation was $2,255.

“It’s because of kind and thoughtful Islanders like the Giffords that we are able to support the entire community. We are so grateful for their continued partnership,” said Beth Folcarelli, MVCS Chief Executive Officer.

Jake and Sarah Gifford brought the idea of Vineyard-Opoly to fruition with the help of many Island businesses, including Mocha Mott’s, Tisbury Toy Box, Sandy Paws Rescue, The Green Room, CB Stark Jewelers, Cronig’s Market, Tuck & Holand, MVYRadio, Menemsha Blues, The Aquinnah Shop Restaurant, Island Grown Initiative, Royal & Ancient Chappaquiddick Links, Wash Ashore Beer Company, Wheel Happy, Bad Martha Farmers Brewery, MV Sharks Baseball, Island Spirit Kayak, Riverhead Disc Golf, The Barn, Bowl & Bistro, Dockside Inn, Vineyard Gazette, Red Cat Kitchen, C’est La Vie, Flying Horses Carousel, Sanctuary, Offshore Ale Company and of course, The Lazy Frog.
