Slough Farm Child Care Subsidy Program

Program funding is available to support child care costs for time period:
January 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026

ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION

  1. Funds are available for families who reside on Martha’s Vineyard.
  2. This program was designed to meet the needs of families whose income is above the threshold for existing funding opportunities in our community. To qualify, your family’s income must be greater than 80% – 125% of the Annual Income Range (AMI) for the funded period (see chart). Families whose income is below 80% of the AMI may be eligible for Community Development Block Grant Funding, which is administered by Bailey Boyd Associates.   3. All parents/guardians must be either employed or enrolled in school for a minimum of 16 hours per week in order to qualify for the program.
  4. The child must be enrolled in either an EEC licensed program or in a program provided by the public school system or will be enrolled in a program within 30 days of the date of application.
  5. Your child care program will need to complete the Provider Application linked below in order to enroll in the Child Care Subsidy Program.
  6. Children aged between 0 – 6 are eligible.
  7. The application is based on household size. This means everyone in the house hold must be included on the income section on the application. This includes grandparents, live-in significant others, etc.
  8. This subsidy may not be used in conjunction with any other child care subsidies. If you begin receiving alternative funding you must contact us at once. Types of alternative funding include: Community Development Block Grant Funding, child care subsidy through the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head, etc.

APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Applications are available in both English and Brazilian Portuguese. If the application needs to be translated into another language, please let us know by contacting us at subsidy@mvcommunityservices.org. The application links are:
  2. Complete applications are funded on a first come, first served basis.
  3. Incomplete applications and/or those needing clarification will receive an email requesting the missing information/clarification needed. Once the information is received, it will be incorporated into the application and the application will be considered complete and will then be entered in the que of completed applications to be processed.
  4. Families typically should hear back within 2 weeks regarding their application status. Please feel free to check in with us if you have not heard back within 2 weeks.
  5. Once we have reviewed and processed your application, both you and your provider will be contacted to complete contract agreements.
