In-demand Low Number License Plate Surprise Sale August 7-14
OAK BLUFFS, MA (July 31, 2020) –
WHAT:
With the success of MV1 at the recent Possible Dreams fundraiser, MV Community Services (MVCS) is excited to announce they will be hosting their sixth Low Number Online Auction, featuring MV License Plates 2-5, from August 7 – 14, 2020 in a special surprise sale.
In-demand plates up for bid in Auction #6 include: MV2, MV3, MV4, and MV5. Each plate will have a starting bid of $10,000 and plates will be awarded to the highest bidder.
A total of 17 low number MV license plates remain, with more than $270,000 raised from low number license plate auctions to benefit MVCS and other Island charities through the Driving the Future Fund.

Auction opens: Friday, August 7 at 9:00 am EDT
Auction closes: Friday, August 14 at 9:00 pm EDT

WHY:
MV License Plate Auction #6 gives people the chance to support the Island community in a unique way. Low-number license plates have a positive impact on the Island community. 100% of the funds raised through MV License Plate sales help support MV Community Services and nonprofits across the Island–organizations who are working hard to ensure the Island community remains safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

About the Martha’s Vineyard License Plate Program:
The Martha’s Vineyard License Plate program benefits Martha’s Vineyard Community Services (MVCS) and Island non-profits. The program has generated more than $480,000 in revenue. Revenue generated from the program is used for funding the vital programs and a range of support services provided by MVCS.
In keeping with the agency’s community-minded spirit, MVCS donates 20% of annual net proceeds to other Island non-profits through the Driving the Future Fund, a collaborative effort between MVCS and the Permanent Endowment for Martha’s Vineyard. Grants from this fund are used to support education and health and human services for youth and seniors on Martha’s Vineyard.
